This page lists information on the 'character' part of the DMW. Zack will meet up with different characters throughout the game and those said characters will be put on the digital mind wave. Each of these characters has a special skill, which acts as a sort of limit break in the game. When three matching pictures of the character comes up, the special skill is performed.

Sephiroth
Sephiroth's attack is Octaslash. He is automatically added to the DMW at the beginnong of the game. Octaslash hits opponents eight times in succession for a great amount of damage. At level 1, it has 9 strength.

Angeal
He, like Sephiroth, is added to the DMW at the beginning of the game Angeal's special attack is Rush Assault. . It hits the enemies 15 times in succession, the last hit being the most power. The skill does ignore the vitality of an enemy, which makes this skill pretty awesome.

Tseng
Tseng is added to the DMW at the beginning of the third chapter. His attack is Air Strike. Zack calls Tseng on his phone and Tseng comes on a Shinra aircraft and shoots at all enemies on the ground, causes physical damage to them.

Cissnei
She is added to the DMW in chapter 4. Lucky Stars is her special skill, which allows Zack to hit with only criticals for a certain timespan, up to 80 seconds.

Aerith/Aeris
Aerith gets added to the DMW at the start of the fifth chapter. Her skill is Healing Wave, which heals HP, MP, and AP fully. It also adds invicibility for a random timeframe, up to 20 seconds.

Cloud
Cloud is added to the DMW in Chapter 6, which is around the midway point of the game. His special attack is Meteor Shots. It is a physical attack against all enemies onscreen.

Genesis
Genesis is added to the DMW at the end of Chapter 6. His special attack is Apocalypse which causes great physical damage to all enemies.
