It is quite fitting that Rikku, the young Al Bhed woman in the party, has a giant Machina device that crushes enemies for her special dressphere. Tough Yuna and Paine will dissappear once you activate Rikku's special dressphere, they will be replaced by the Smasher-R and the Crusher-L, which will make it a full party of three when you go up against enemies. It's quite handy as like the other special dresspheres, the Machina Maw has abilities that can do devestating damage, restore HP and MP, and protect the entire party from enemy attacks.
In order to be able to have the HP exceed 9999 you'll need to get an item, the Machina Reactor. In order to find this, you'll need to find the treasure chest near the Life at the Youth League HQ during Chapter 5 of the game. In order to exceed 9999 damage, you'll also need the Machina Booster. You can get this item by dispatching Chocobos level 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 three times each. This can be done at the Chocobo Ranch Clasko sets up in the Calm Lands. Do note that you'll also need to make sure the Chocobo-Runners are Level 5. If you get it right, Clasko will tell you that the Chocobos Found a dungeon. Inside a chest in there you can obtain the item.
How to Obtain:
You'll get this automatically in Chapter 2 when you're searching for the Leblanc syndicate uniforms.
