Basic Profile
Wakka is a man who lives on the Isle of Besaid with Yuna, Lulu, and Kimahri. This man grew up with both Yuna and Lulu and the three of them are very close and like sibilings. Wakka is also the captain of a Blitzball team that is named the Besaid Aurochs. The Aurochs are quite amazing in the fact that they have not won a single blitzball game in the past ten years, including the entire time that Wakka has been coach. Since Wakka has vowed this is his last year as a blitzball captain, he wishes to go out with a bang and win the blitzball tournament that is being held in Luca - one of the largest towns in Spira. In order to do this, Wakka asks Tidus, who had just come to Besaid, to help him achive his goal. Of course, Tidus agrees to help the Blitzball captain.
Not only is Wakka the captain of the Blitzball team of Besaid, but he's also one of Yuna's guardians. His whole reason for quitting Blitzball is so that he can fully devote his time to protecting the young summoner.
 
Personality
There is no doubt that Wakka is a blind follower of Yevon and very closed minded. If people do not follow the teachings of Yevon he does not respect that person. Wakka is very, verrrry prejudice in this sense, especially since he despises the Al Bhed peoples for their use of machinas, which goes against the teachings of Yevon. Other than that, Wakka is very kind to everyone else, all the people who follow the teachings. He's like a big brother figure to Yuna and tries his best to protect her like an older brother would do.
Possibly Spoiling Information
When Wakka was younger, he gave his brother - Chappu - the Brotherhood, a sword in which he gives Tidus at the beginning of the game. However, Chappu refused to use this sword and instead opted to use machina in order to fight against Sin. Wakka was devestated by this fact, especially when Chappu was killed by Sin. Wakka hated machina even more from that day forward. After his brother died he was left with no biological family, as both his mother and father also fell victim to Sin sometime before.
