Humes
Humes are the dominate race of species in Ivalice. The humes in Final Fantasy XII greatly resemble the humans in our very own world. Humes are a people that seek dominance, power, and fortune. Their own greed and desires drive their peoples into bloody wars. They also have a great amount of intelligence and use their knowlege to build powerful machines and the such for war, and also to make day-to-day life easier for most everyone.
Physically, humes look just like modern day humans in our own world.
Viera
The Viera are a race that consist of mostly females, or at least, only females are shown in the game. This race of peoples are ones that live away from everything else in the world and keep themselves from getting involved in the politics, wars, and various other struggles that go on in the human world. They seclude theirselves from every other race ands tay in just a small region of Ivalice, a wooded area. There are a few exceptions. Very few Viera, such as Fran, leave the wood to persue other things in life, though they do give up quite a bit for doing so and aren't exactly welcome in the viera realm any longer.
The Viera do thisbecause they believe they exist as part of the "wood."
Viera have very long ears, almost rabbit-like. These ears allow them to hear even the faintest of sounds that other races would not pick up. All vieraare also born with silver hair, but there are some, that leave the wood, that do dye their hair different colors.
Moogles
Anyone who has played the previous installments of the Final Fantasy series should be familiar with thesecute little creatures. The difference is that in this game moogles look a lot different than they use to, minus how they did in Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. Moogles are a small race of bunny-like creatures that are really good with machines. More often than not it will be a moogle working on an airship or teleporting your characters around.
Each ofthe moogles has a fluffy pom-pom over their head, which is a signature feature for the creatures. They also have a small set of wings and dexterous little hands.
Bangaa
Bangaa are reptile-like creatures.They have long tails, hanging ears, and scales all over their body! They aren't exactly a pretty race. The bangaahave tiny eyes,and donot rely on their eyesight, which becomes apparent by the fact that many of them sport blindfolds as they do their daily tasks. These race of peoples are of many different colors, which once represented difference features, however, over the years many of them have became mixed with other colors of bangaa, so it does not apply any longer.
Seeq
Probably the least appealing of all the races, the Seeq greatly resemble hogs. The seeqare unable to talkfor lengthy amounts of time, so they tend to keep their conversations to a minimum. They do have large frames and possess a great deal of power. These guys aren't very intelligent and about the only thing they care about is money, so they are often merchants.
