Darkened Images Effects
Follow this tutorial to learn how to make a trendy darkened image effect! Very easy and simple.
The tutorial
1. Open up an image of your choice. You'll probably want to open up an image with a white background for best results. I used the image below.
2. Make a new layer. Fill it with this color: 00185B. Set the Layer to "Exclusion" in the blending options.
3. Create another new layer. Fill it with this color: 90002C. Set this layer to "Linear Burn."
4. Go to Layer > Flatten Image and flatten the image.
5. Go to Image > Adjustments > Selective Color. On the "Red" color in the dropdown, push all the triangles to the left. Like below. Repeat this 3 times.
6. Do your finishing touches. If you don't want the pinkish background, cut out your image or keep doing the selective color option until you get the background color you want. Just adjust the various colors in the red tab to your desired selection.
